（开场）感谢各位，晚上好。
很高兴今晚能够站在这里。大家都清楚，这场晚宴一波三折。4 月那场活动突发枪击事件，我们所有人被迫紧急撤离。很多人当时以为这场晚宴再也不会举办。但我一直坚持：不能让暴力、疯狂的极端分子改变我们的生活方式。
在美国，我们不会向政治暴力屈服。我们不靠子弹解决分歧，依靠公开、激烈的辩论交换观点。
我要向当晚挺身而出的特勤局特工、现场所有执法人员致以最高敬意。他们展现出巨大勇气，阻止了一场更大的悲剧。大家今晚能够坐在这里，离不开他们的牺牲与坚守。
顺便说一句，我观察现场，不少宾客宁愿承担风险，也不愿意穿上厚重的防弹背心，这我能理解。
今晚是我第一次以美国总统身份出席白宫记者协会晚宴。
第一任期我没有来，原因很简单：
多年以来，主流媒体对我的报道充满偏见，充斥大量假新闻。
很多报道刻意扭曲我的政策、曲解我的发言。
但我尊重这场晚宴承载的传统，尊重新闻行业本身，所以我接受邀请来到这里。
我看到今晚很多媒体同行拿到奖项。
坦白讲，部分获奖报道并不客观。
很多媒体执着于制造对立，放大负面叙事。
等到我卸任之后，很多依赖炒作冲突的媒体会发现，
没有了我，他们缺少流量故事，生存都会变得艰难。
过去两年，我们政府推行大刀阔斧改革。
DOGE 效率小组削减海量联邦浪费开支，清理无数低效、欺诈性质的对外项目；我们收紧边境管控，重建国家安全；推动制造业回流，压低通胀。
这些实实在在的成果，很多媒体选择轻描淡写，甚至刻意忽略。
我们聊聊外交。伊朗方面正在和美方接触，希望达成新协议。
他们清楚我们的底线：绝对不能拥有核武器。
伊朗如今迫切想要一份协议，但我判断，他们目前还没有做好拿出诚意的准备，时机尚未成熟。当然，我始终愿意倾听可行的方案。内塔尼亚胡下周将会到访华盛顿，我们将就中东局势深入沟通。
有人不断追问未来我的政治规划。
刚好，借着今晚，给各位媒体一个独家消息。（现场戴上 “TRUMP 2028” 红色帽子）我正在认真考虑再次参选总统，第四次冲击白宫。
竞选这件事，我经验充足，如果决定参选，胜算很大。
当然，现在只是思考阶段，后续会正式公布决定。
我经常被问到，如何看待记者群体。
很多时候我们针锋相对，互相批评。
我承认，不少报道对我非常苛刻。
但我始终相信，自由媒体是美国体系不可或缺的一环。
记者手握巨大力量，这份力量应当用来追寻真相，而不是固守意识形态偏见。
我和白宫记者协会新任主席杰奎・海因里希认识很久，她是一名优秀记者，非常犀利。
虽然她时常对我提出尖锐问题，有时候言辞十分尖锐，但我尊重她的职业坚持。
很多人问 4 月枪响那一刻我的感受。
最开始我误以为只是餐盘落地的声响，短短几秒之后，所有人立刻意识到危险降临。那一刻你会真切感受到，身处高位所要承担的风险。
想要做出改变、推动变革的政治人物，永远更容易成为攻击目标。无所作为的人，从来不会引来仇恨。
我们面对无数国内难题：老龄化、高昂生活成本、激烈的阶层竞争。
但美国拥有无限潜力。只要我们坚持理性辩论、拒绝暴力、优先本国民众利益，国家就能持续走向复兴。
我不奢求所有人认同我的政策。分歧是常态。
民主制度的精髓，就是允许大家持有截然不同观点，并且和平交流。
最后，我想说：我非常尊重在座每一位新闻从业者。
很多时候，你们没有公平对待我；
但也有不少时刻，你们秉持客观，发出公正报道。
新闻是一份了不起的职业。

White House Correspondents’ Association DinnerWashington Waldorf Hotel, July 24, 2026
Good evening, everybody. It’s great to be here tonight. As everyone knows, this dinner went through a lot to finally happen. Back in April, an emergency shooting forced us to evacuate. Many people thought this dinner might never take place again. But I insisted: we cannot let violence and radical extremists change our way of life.
In America, we do not settle disagreements with bullets. We settle them through open, vigorous debate.
I want to offer my deepest respect to the Secret Service agents and all law enforcement officers on duty that night. Their courage prevented a far greater tragedy. Everyone sitting in this room tonight owes them a debt of gratitude. By the way, I notice many guests chose to take the risk rather than wear bulky bulletproof vests, and I understand that.
This is my first time attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner as President. I skipped it during my first term for a simple reason: mainstream media outlets filled their coverage about me with bias and fake news, constantly twisting my policies and misstating my words. Still, I respect the tradition of this dinner and respect journalism itself, so I accepted the invitation.
I see many journalists receiving awards this evening. Frankly, some of those winning reports are far from objective. Many media outlets thrive on manufacturing division and amplifying negative narratives. Once I leave office, quite a few conflict-driven media organizations will find they lack headline material, and they will struggle to survive.
Over the past two years, my administration has carried out sweeping reforms. The DOGE Efficiency Initiative cut massive wasteful federal spending and cleaned up countless fraudulent overseas programs. We tightened border security, rebuilt national safety, pushed manufacturing back home, and brought inflation down. Many media outlets choose to gloss over these tangible achievements, or simply ignore them.
Let’s talk foreign policy. Iran has been in contact with the United States, hoping to reach a new agreement. They clearly understand our bottom line: Iran must never obtain nuclear weapons. Iran is eager to strike a deal, yet I believe they are not ready to offer genuine sincerity, and the timing is not right. That said, I am always willing to listen to viable proposals. Prime Minister Netanyahu will visit Washington next week, and we will hold in-depth discussions on the Middle East situation.
Reporters keep asking about my future political plans. Tonight, I will share exclusive news with all of you.(Puts on red “TRUMP 2028” hat)I am seriously considering running for president once again, launching my fourth campaign for the White House. I have plenty of campaign experience, and if I decide to run, I stand a strong chance of winning. Of course, this is only a consideration for now, and an official announcement will follow in due course.
I am often asked how I view journalists. We clash and criticize each other frequently. I admit many reports treat me harshly. But I have always believed a free press is an indispensable part of America’s system. Journalists hold tremendous power, and that power ought to be used to pursue truth, not entrench ideological bias.
I have known Jacqui Heinrich, the new president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, for a long time. She is an excellent, sharp reporter. She asks tough questions, sometimes with fierce wording, yet I respect her professional commitment.
Many people asked what went through my mind the moment shots rang out in April. At first, I thought it was just plates hitting the ground. Within seconds, everyone realized we faced real danger. In that moment, you truly feel the risks that come with holding high office. Anyone who strives to deliver change will always become an easier target. Those who do nothing never attract hatred.
We face countless domestic challenges: aging populations, sky-high cost of living, bitter class competition. But America holds unlimited potential. As long as we stick to rational debate, reject violence, and put the interests of American people first, this nation will keep moving toward renewal.
I do not expect everyone to agree with my policies. Disagreement is normal. The essence of democracy is that people can hold vastly different opinions and still communicate peacefully.
Finally, I want to say I have profound respect for every journalist in this room. Many times, you have not treated me fairly; yet there have also been moments when you maintained objectivity and delivered fair reporting. Journalism is an extraordinary profession.
